Google says The Ducks Nuts is an Australian themed restaurant. The owner was Aussie but I'm unsure what makes it Oz, I didn't see any Castlemaine XXX, just a range of Marston's keg and cask.

I had two pints of house labelled ale... null and void on my try January list.
A friendly venue even if the beer does disappoint and they had an old school club style crooner singing us into the new year.
Considering they're only a stones throw away from Blackpool, both Lytham and Lytham St Anne's are really worth visiting, not just for beer.

Hopefully next time we visit the weather will be better, we'll split the two towns over two days and we'll get to drink in Keg n Cask and The Pier Inn.

Sorry you missed the Pier, very middle aged micro on my visit last year, but full of merit.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'd try Castle Maine 4x if I saw it on the bar. It's 66% as good as Wadworth 6X, surely ?
I think most micros are middle aged, no?
