Skipping a travelodge breakfast and in need of a dog friendly venue for, google suggested Albert’s Schloss, a beer cellar of pilsners and German food. Sounded ideal.
Right opposite the impressive Great Western warehouse. I wonder if the Amazon warehouse’s will be looked at in awe?
Three of us shared a pork fest meat platter. Pork knuckle, 3 types of wurst, schnitzel and pork belly. Plus sides of truffle mash and the usual kraut and mustard. £70 and would easily fill four.
Washed down with a couple of Hofbrau session 3.3%.
After walking off the pork I managed to squeeze in a delightful porter by Neighbourhood Brew Co at the Victoria Tap before the train home.
Albert's Schloss's launch a decade ago was a huge thing, and it still seems insanely busy on rare occasions I'm in the area. Only been in for breakfast pastries and coffee, both great.
